Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. Scope and service operator
This Privacy Policy explains how MEA Academy (Minimal English), referred to as “MEA”, collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you visit our websites, create an account, sign in with Google, enroll in a course, or use MEA learning services.
For questions or personal-data requests, contact MEA at minimalielts@gmail.com.
2. Data MEA may process
Depending on how you use the service, MEA may process:
- Account information such as your display name, email address, username, account identifier, and profile image when available.
- Google sign-in data such as your Google account identifier, email address, name, and basic profile image made available by Google under your choices and permissions.
- Learning data such as course enrollments, progress, lesson or assessment results, certificates, interaction history, and support requests.
- Technical and security data such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser, access time, session logs, necessary cookies, and security events.
- Information you choose to provide through contact, enrollment, feedback, or support channels.
MEA does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or other private Google Account content for the current sign-in function.
3. How MEA collects data
MEA may collect data directly when you create an account, request advice or course enrollment, use learning features, submit a form or feedback, or contact support. Technical data is recorded when your device connects to and interacts with the service. MEA may also receive necessary data from Google when you choose Google sign-in, from an authorized learning-program administrator, or from a payment provider to confirm a transaction where that service is used. MEA receives third-party data only where consistent with the disclosed purpose and applicable law.
4. How MEA uses data
MEA processes data as necessary to:
- Authenticate, create or link accounts, and maintain secure sessions.
- Deliver courses, track progress, record results, and support learners.
- Operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability.
- Respond to requests and send account or service-related notices.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
MEA does not use data obtained from Google to sell or rent data, build advertising profiles, or serve personalized advertising.
5. Processing basis and your choices
MEA processes data where needed to provide a service you request, perform an agreement with you, protect the service, comply with law, or where you have given consent. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it through available product controls or by contacting MEA. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.
You may use another sign-in method where the service offers one. You may also revoke MEA access in your Google Account permissions; this may interrupt Google sign-in until you authorize it again or use another method.
6. Google user data commitment
MEA uses Google user data only for sign-in, account linking, account security, and the learner-facing service the user has chosen. MEA's use and transfer of information received from Google complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.
7. Data sharing
MEA may share only the data needed with:
- Infrastructure, hosting, identity, monitoring, and support providers that process data for MEA to operate the service.
- An authorized course organization or administrator for a program in which you participate, where needed to manage learning activity.
- Competent authorities or relevant parties where required by law or needed to protect legal rights, user safety, or service security.
MEA does not sell or rent personal data. Service processors may use data only for the contracted service purpose and must apply appropriate safeguards.
8. Retention and security
MEA retains data for as long as needed to maintain accounts, deliver courses, handle requests, meet legal or accounting duties, resolve disputes, and protect the service. The period depends on the type of data, account status, and the applicable obligation. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted, anonymized, or restricted under an appropriate process.
MEA applies organizational and technical measures designed to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No online system is completely secure. Users should protect their credentials and notify MEA if they suspect unauthorized account use.
9. Your rights and responsibilities
Subject to applicable law, you may request information, access, correction, provision, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or deletion of your personal data. You may request account closure by emailing minimalielts@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. MEA may need to verify identity and may retain data required by law or dispute resolution.
For a minor user, a parent or legal representative may exercise rights as provided by law and the controls of the applicable learning program.
You are responsible for providing accurate information, updating it when it changes, protecting your account, cooperating in incident handling, and respecting other people's personal data.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
MEA uses cookies or browser storage needed to maintain sign-in sessions, remember language choices, protect accounts, and operate the website. If MEA introduces non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, it will provide the notice and choices required before use where applicable law requires them.
11. Cross-border processing
Google and some infrastructure providers may process data in a country or region different from where you live. Where cross-border processing or transfer occurs, MEA applies contractual, technical, and legal safeguards appropriate to the data and applicable law.
12. Policy changes
MEA may update this policy when its service, data practices, or legal requirements change. A new version will be posted here with the updated date. MEA will provide a more prominent product or direct notice where a change materially affects user rights.
