BÀI MẪU BAND 8.0 (theo công thức O-R-E-O)

INTRO
Today, I'd like to talk about the event when I took part in my high school's annual athletics competition.

BODY

Q1 (Firstly – what/when/where):
Firstly, it took place about two years ago on the sports field of my high school, and I entered both the 4x100m relay and the 800m individual race.

Q2 (Next – if my memory served me well… preparation):
Next, if my memory served me well, our coach built a training plan that combined endurance and stamina work through long-distance running, along with agility drills to sharpen our reaction speed during relay handovers. We also kept a close eye on our nutritional balance, eating more protein and complex carbs to fuel our bodies properly, and stuck to strict injury prevention routines such as warming up and stretching before every session.

Q3 (Then – what happened):
Then, on competition day, what really stood out to me was the teamwork within our relay squad — we'd trained together for weeks, and everyone's competitive spirit pushed the rest of us to give our all, which ultimately gave our team a real competitive edge over the other classes.

Q4 (Well, you know what… – significance):
Well, you know what, taking part in that competition turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience, since it didn't just test our physical fitness but also taught us the value of sportsmanship — congratulating our rivals whether we won or lost.

EXTRA

Cleft sentence: What I like most about that competition is that it brought our whole class together, regardless of who took home the individual medals.

Past tense: I still remember the first time I crossed the finish line in the relay, gasping for breath but grinning from ear to ear.

Future tense (with a saying): And there's a saying that goes "practice makes perfect," so in the future, if I had the chance, I would take part in more competitions like this to keep building up my stamina and endurance.

CONCLUDE
That's all about the sports competition I took part in.
